Within the geodatabase used to create maps showing these unique features, there are a total of six Feature Data Sets as well as seven independent Feature Classes. The feature datasets include: Critical Areas, Elevation, Major Land Areas, Oahu Elepaio, Plants, and Soil Types. And the independent feature classes include: Bird Habitat, Elevation Bird Plant, Hillshade Elevation, Oahu, Oahu Species, Plant Species and Soil Type Erosion. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Pacific Islands Office, 2004, the projected coordinate system for all layers needed to be set to NAD 1983, UTM Zone 4N.
